Routes to Capri
The route links Ischia's north-coast harbours with Capri, with no change via the mainland. Ischia - Capri from Ischia Porto takes about an hour, Lacco Ameno - Capri around 90 minutes, and Forio - Capri about 100 minutes, because the boat picks up the harbours one after another. It doesn't run daily but on two or three days a week, and only in season, with sailings in late summer and autumn. The rhythm is that of a day trip: to Marina Grande in the morning, back in the afternoon. Check the outbound and return sailings for your date in the timetable; if the sailing is cancelled, the same day leaves only the detour via Naples or an Alilauro speedboat departure.
Luggage, pets and tickets
The rules depend on which operator supplies the boat. With Laser Capri, one piece of hand luggage up to 50 x 30 x 15 cm and 5 kg is included, dogs travel muzzled and on a lead, cats in a carrier, with a veterinary certificate and proof of rabies vaccination, and a ticket can be cancelled up to 24 hours before departure with a deduction. With Capitan Morgan, the boarding time on the ticket applies, dogs travel on a pet ticket, lead and muzzle, and assistance dogs travel free. Neither boat carries vehicles; visitors face Campania's vehicle ban on Capri regardless.
